Provisional bookings are confirmed on receipt of a 40% deposit. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance, as the deposit is non-refundable.
Bookings will remain firm provided the deposit is received within 14 days.
The balance due must be received twelve weeks prior to the period booked. Bookings cancelled after this time will be charged full rental. Any changes to bookings prior to full payment may incur a £50 administration charge.
Payment should be made by debit card or credit card (incurs a 2% charge).
Estate Cottages reserves the right to amend confirmed bookings with respect to accommodation and you will be notified of any alterations prior to your arrival. If it is not possible to find alternative accommodation you will be notified at the earliest opportunity and refunded in full.
Colonsay Estate Cottages expects properties to be left clean and tidy on departure and reserves the right to charge a minimum of £50 for properties left unclean on departure.
Electricity is charged separately. Your electricity meter will be read on arrival
and departure and you will be charged at cost.
If you are staying in a house or cottage and would like coal/anthracite delivered, it must be ordered at the time of final payment. The coal/anthracite is supplied in 25kg bags. The coal costs £11 inc VAT per bag. The minimum order is 2 bags.
On arrival, a security deposit of £100 (apartments) or £200 (cottages) must be
paid, or credit card details given, to our Administration Manager. On departure,
the deposit will be refunded less the cost of electricity, any breakages and extra
cleaning costs.
