Colonsay is holding its second FESTIVAL OF SPRING in May 2012. It will run for 3 weeks from 28th April to 18th May and will offer an extraordinary range of guided walks, talks, activities, lectures and workshops. From birds and wildflowers to painting and sculpting, foraging and cooking and photgraphy courses. There will be some evening events as well. Something for everyone! BRIDGE WEEK in The Colonsay hotel from Monday 23rd April to Friday 27th April. Renowned bridge teacher, Celestria Alexander-Sinclair, will be providing tutorials and supervised play for beginners and intermediate players throughout the week. £50, HALF PRICE FOR HOTEL GUESTS.
Conversations @ The Edge, Colonsay's First BOOK FESTIVAL, is on the weekend of 28th and 29th April 2012. Featuring famous Scottish authors such as Alexander McCall Smith, Liz Lochead (Scotland's Poet Laureate), Margaret Elphinstone and Sophie Cooke, it promises to be a feast of Scottish writing.
The annual COLONSAY FOLK FESTIVAL will be staged from 13th to 16th September 2012. Attracting the cream of Scotland's folk music talent, this event sells out very fast!
